Look below for brief descriptions of some of the events we have throughout our busy year!

First Friday: First Friday Socials happen on the first Friday of every month. These parties are budgeted by the Club and hosted by member volunteers. sponsored by the members. The members who host First Friday are responsible for hors d’oeuvres/light dinner for attendees. The bar creates specialty cocktails. All members and their guests are invited to this free event, as well as reciprocals. The event goes from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Casual Friday: Casual Friday is generally scheduled on the third Friday of every month. This event serves as a way to get together and participate in a fun activity such as paint n’ sip, karaoke, game night, or a class structured gathering. They vary month to month, so it’s best to refer to the weekly newsletter to get insight on the theme. This event will either be open to all, or RSVP only depending on what is scheduled that evening.

Wine Dinners & Wine Pairings: Our wine events are either a sit-down wine dinner, coursed with multiple wines from a select winery or a casual wine pairing style, where passed hors d’oeuvres are shared for each wine. These events are very popular and are by RSVP only. 

Spring Dinner: The Spring Dinner will be a sit-down dinner catered by members of the TYC that can be attended by RSVP only.

Italian Dinner: The Italian Dinner will be a sit-down dinner prepared by members of the TYC that can be attended by RSVP only. 

Christmas at the Club: The Saturday afternoon before Christmas, Santa stops by to take pictures with all the children and listen to all their presents requests before the approaching holiday. Children’s activities will take place and light snacks will be provided for attendees. This is a free event for members and their guests.

New Years Eve: Every year we throw a lavish celebration to ring in a New York New Year. The event is complimentary for members and a small charge for guests, which we request that you only bring a maximum of four. Heavy hor d’oeuvres are provided and a champagne toast is shared by all! 

Potlucks: Over the course of the year, we host many potlucks so all members and their friends can gather together and enjoy the cooking and creations provided. We have a potluck for Chinese New Years, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, and the Super Bowl. These events are free for all and do not require an RSVP. 

Fondue Party: During the winter, we host a fondue party so we can all gather around by the fire, enjoy specialty cocktails, and eat warm, delicious fondue style dishes. This event is structured like a potluck, with a contest for the best fondue dishes! 

Easter Brunch: Every Easter we host an Easter Egg Hunt as well as a light brunch and bloody mary bar for attendees. The brunch is catered by Tahoe House. The event requests RSVP’s and members and their guests are invited. 

Souper Saturday: We host 2-3 Souper Saturday’s every year, which is an event that features a guest speaker. Before the guest speaker shares their presentation, everyone enjoys delicious soups and salads from Tahoe House.

Kentucky Derby: During the Kentucky Derby, members and their guests can gather to watch and place bets on the rece while dressing up in their finest Derby attire. We will have Mint Juleps for all to enjoy! This event is free and open to members, guests, and reciprocals. 

Gin Fizz Fling & Blessing of the Fleet: To welcome in our summer boating season, our local Pastor blesses our fleet for good fortune on the water, followed by a party filled with complimentary gin fizzes and bloody mary’s, made by your very own board members! The event is RSVP only.

Fourth of July: With one of the best viewing spots on the lake for 4th of July fireworks, members and guests can casually gather together, indulge in burgers, hot dogs, and other BBQ fare while trying our summery drink specials before the spectacle. The party is complimentary for members and $20 for their guests, with a limit of 4 guests per membership.

Rumgatta: The Rumgatta is a power boat cruise out event. Members will boat to a selected lovely location around the lake, the anchor while club staff shuttle around the boats and nicely made rum cocktails! Many members swim, paddle board or boat to shore. The even is a nice way to both enjoy the beauty of the lake and a pleasant time with your TYC friends.

Commodore’s Cruise: The Commodores' Cruise is one of the longest-standing TYC traditions. Find a boat and meet the fleet on the water in front of the TC marina. Look out for your commodore, who will lead the departure to our destination (most recently Vikingsholm Beach in Emerald Bay) where the TYC staff awaits you with a grill, corn, wine & beer. Be sure to bring along your items to grill, plates, utensils, side dishes to share and blankets or chairs! This event is complimentary for all who attend. Guests are invited to join!
