Bruce Fetter, Port Captain

Bruce and his wife, Lynn, honeymooned here at Lake Tahoe some 46 years ago. When their daughter decided to move here 17 years ago and raise her family in the Tahoe basin, it was an easy decision for them to purchase a second home on the North Shore. While continuing to work Bruce (retired in 2018) and Lynn split time between Newport Beach and Carnelian Bay hauling their pets back and forth as often as possible. Today, Tahoe is their main residence, while continuing to keep a small place in Orange County. Their son and his family live in the Southern California area, so their beach home enables them to stay close with the grandkids there as well. Board work is not new to Bruce. He has been an active board member in the fashion industry, as well as serving with several non-profit organizations focused on supporting foster and at-risk youth. He held senior roles with several fashion brands, as well as in the interior furnishing world. An avid surfer for 50 years, he now spends time continuing to play beach volleyball, skiing, biking, pickle-balling, boating, and chasing errant golf shots around the local links in the Tahoe area. Lynn has been an active volunteer with TYC as our current Hospitality Chair.

He then moved to Stars in Oakville, where he also spent time perfecting his talents at Chez Panisse and French Laundry. Recently retired from running Quadrus Conference Center & Catering.
